Drug and Alcohol Detox

Drug and alcohol treatment is most effective when somebody goes to a medical detox. Without the mind and body cleared of substances appropriately, the person will not be able to stop using. At a detoxification facility, you are provided with medications, care, and groups that will help you find a newly sober life. Especially with certain drugs such as alcohol, opioids, and benzos, a proper detox is absolutely necessary. Coming off drugs on your own can be dangerous or even fatal in cases. In addition, professional medical detox can help you come off the drugs with minimal discomfort. Your Sober Solutions is proud to work with many detox facilities that can help you come off drugs and/or alcohol in a safe and comfortable environment.

Residential Treatment

Once the person has had the substances cleared from their system, the next step on a path to recovery is residential treatment, sometimes called inpatient treatment. In residential treatment, you live at the treatment center for 30 days or more. This is super beneficial, as you are offered the opportunity to focus on yourself and live among fellow recovering addicts. The treatment team will offer therapy, groups, and activities to help you on your road to recovery.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

For some, a dual diagnosis treatment center may be the best option. Dual diagnosis facilities deal with co-occurring disorders, or the presence of a mental health issue along with the addiction. If you or your loved one has had experience with mental health issues, a dual diagnosis facility is an absolute must. At a dual diagnosis facility, the treatment team specializes in treating those with co-occurring disorders. Without addressing both the addiction and the mental health issue, people have very small chances of staying sober. An addict is way more likely to stay sober if they receive psychological treatment along with their addiction treatment.

Outpatient Treatment

After a stay at a residential treatment facility, the next step is often outpatient treatment. Outpatient treatment provides a wonderful step-down program for the recovering addict. Rather than jumping right back into daily life and freedom, outpatient treatment offers a way for the person to reintegrate slowly and with support. When people are in outpatient treatment, they can work, go to school, and begin interacting with the real world. The continuity of treatment, therapy, and groups help the person remain grounded through their re-entry into the world.

Sober Living

While attending an outpatient program (or even after completing outpatient), living in a sober living environment can greatly increase your chances at staying clean and sober. In a sober living home, you will live with other addicts trying to get sober. Many or most of them will have completed inpatient treatment and currently be in an outpatient program. A sober living environment helps provide structure for the newly sober addict, with some rules such as curfews, drug testing, and mandatory meetings. Living in a sober home helps the addict interact with the real world while retaining a safe and sober home.
